It’s official – Britney Spears is joining the cast of Simon Cowell’s musical talent show The X Factor after signing a $15 million deal.

The “Toxic” singer will sit alongside Cowell and Antonio ‘L.A.’ Reid on the judges panel according to E! Online.

“The contract is signed,” a source tells the website. “There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited.”

Britney verbally agreed to the terms of the contract a few weeks ago, and several minor details had to be worked out before she signed.

Last week rumors that Britney made several outrageous demands in the contract – including details of the decor of her dressing room, among other things; however, a rep for Britney shot down the rumors, telling GossipCop.com that there was no truth to those stories.

She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got,” says the source that confirmed the news. “She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together.”

Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, along with host Steve Jones, were all let go from the show after its first season, and Britney is the first official replacement. Rumor has it that Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus are both in talks to join the show. Cowell has shown a big interest in getting Demi on the panel and Miley is rumored to be the frontrunner to be the show’s new host.

Miley Cyrus has brushed off criticism of her new comedy LOL after it flopped at the U.S. box office, grossing just $46,500 in its opening weekend.

The singer/actress stars in the coming-of-age film alongside Demi Moore as her onscreen mom, but the movie, which is based on a popular French release of the same name, was only shown in 105 theaters in just eight states – excluding New York.

The Lionsgate-produced LOL failed to attract fans and the studio didn’t even release official box office figures for the picture, although it is estimated to have only made a total of $46,500, according to MovieCityNews.com.

But Cyrus insists she isn’t paying attention to the disappointing takings.

In a post on Twitter.com, she writes, “Thank u (sic) so much for everyone who went to see LOL. It is a film I loved making and I am proud of…. That’s really all that matters to me.”

LOL opened on the same day that highly-anticipated superhero blockbuster The Avengers hit U.S. cinemas – scoring box office gold with a massive $207.1 million from its first three days on release.

Miley Cyrus is a walking billboard for pilates classes.  We spotted the singer/actress after her routine exercise class in Los Angeles on Monday, and she appears to be getting particularly lean these days. Look how skinny her arms are!

Over the past couple of years Miley has dealt with a lot of criticism about her weight. Back in 2009 she shot back at haters who commented on her curves when she appeared in bikini photos while on vacation in the Bahamas. That was only the beginning. She took to twitter last November writing, “I don’t wanna be shaped like a girl I LOVE being shaped like a WOMAN.”

However, it seems like she may be succumbing to the pressures in Hollywood to be stick thin.

Miley stars in the new film “LOL” opposite Demi Moore. Haven’t heard of it? The movie will only be released in a handful of theaters on Friday, May 4 (against the massively popular “Avengers”). Due to contract issues, Lionsgate was forced to release it in theaters instead of sending it direct to DVD.

We know Ashley Tisdale has a fabulous figure. She doesn’t need to say it on her clothing! The actress carried a Chanel bag and a yog mat after leaving an exercise class with her friends in Studio City, Calif., yesterday.

It’s not an uncommon sight to catch celebrities in Los Angeles in work-out gear.  Miley Cyrus regularly attends Pilates class and even new mom Hilary Duff has been exercising to get her pre-baby body back.

It takes a lot of work for these stars to look as good as they do.

Tisdale is currently working on the comedy pilot “Under Construction” for ABC about a woman who moves back home while her dad renovates her home.

After getting stitched up she posted a message to her twitter page to let fans know she’s doing just fine after the incident.

“I’m all stitched up have on a splint so I’m good,” she says. “As you can tell by my expression, didn’t feel so good. Curse u blender!”

Miley was rushed to the emergency room by boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. The two were accompanied by Miley’s mother and grandmother. Her rep confirmed the accident, sayiing, “She cut her finger while cooking and had to get a few stitches. She’s doing fine.”

The singer wasn’t too happy that the paparazzi spotted her in her state of despair though.

She tweeted to the fansite, “@MileyCyrusBz as you can tell by the horrible faces I’m making I obviously didn’t know they were there. Pretty messed up following me to ER.”

Miley Cyrus displayed her punk side on her way to Pilates class yesterday.  The singer/actress wore a black and white jumpsuit emblazoned with skulls. She also wore black combat boots, round sunglasses and carried a fringe bag.

The exercise bent Miley, who has been religious about attending Pilates classes, was recently accused of starving herself in order to get thin.

Earlier this month she tweeted a pic of herself taking a whiff of fast food with the caption, “I can’t eat it. So I’m just gonna smell the s**t out of it! My mouth is literally watering.” She denied reports she has an eating disorder.
